"Diamond" is a coffee table assembled from panels made of biocomposite material.
This material is a built from layers of cork, linen and PLA (resin made from corn).
Unlike other composite materials, here all elements are natural, making the material entirely biodegradable. This follows the principles of sustainable development and is a true technological leap forward. Because of the use of thermosetting polymers made from petrochemicals, recycling options for composite materials have been very limited until now.
This handy table can be fully dismantled and the cork makes it very light and stiff.
Project realised in partnership with ID Composite and sponsored by Depestele and Numéricoupe.
